• I have heard that Thurmond Woods, who signed with the Grizzly program last November, will now be attending Santa Ana junior college in California this fall. It sounds like he will need to attend the JC for two years to get his D-1 eligibility, but I am not sure about that. Woods is originally from Dominguez high school in California, and was on the Montana campus this summer. From what I saw of him this summer I thought he had the chance to make an impact on the Griz this year as a true freshman.

Bobcat recruit: Alex Vogel

I am going to finish up post info on recruits that are on my recruiting lists. Like I said before, most of these guy’s are folks I heard some time back that were being recruited by the Cat’s or Griz, but I do not know currently if they are still actively being recruited.

I heard last winter that the Bobcats were recruiting Alex Vogel of Washington high school in Washington Iowa. Vogel is a 5-10 (and that might be an optimistic 5-10) point guard who averaged close to 18 points a game and shot 46% from the field. Vogel was an honorable mention All-State by the Iowa Newspaper Association this past season.
