I have heard that the Grizzly coaching staff is recruiting Jordan Burris of Stockdale high school in Bakersfield California. Burris is a 6-6 200 pound small forward who averaging 16 points and 7 rebounds per game as a sophomore and 23 points, 8 boards and 4 assists 2 blocks a game while shooting 58% from the field, 38% from beyond the three-point arc and 70% from the free-throw line.
Burris was named 2008-2009 All-Bakersfield Area first team as well as first team Southwest Yosemite basketball team. He was named recently to Calihighscports.com’s top 30 basketball seniors in California for 2009-2010.
Despite all of his accolades Burris has been labeled as a sleeper in the California 2009-2010 class, which is not born out if you quickly do a Google search of him. He must be one of the best known sleepers I have ever seen.
Burris is a very athletic prospect with good length. His biggest asset is his three point shooting but he also has the ability to slash to the hoop and post up smaller players. Here are some evaluations.
