Huse Wraps it up ……

huse.jpg….. I think

Part 1

Yesterday May 20th marked the end of the spring signing period, so I thought I might wrap up Montana State recruiting as it now stands. I will post a wrap up on the Montana State women’s program earlier and I will do something on the Lady Griz shortly. I am going to wait on the Griz men’s program a little bit.

Brad Huse signed 3 players in total this year and has invited 3 more have been offered preferred walk-on spots on the roster. All of these player, whether they are JC or high school players will have at least three years in the program so impact should be viewed in the long term and short term. None of these players are guaranteed impact player, given the Cats return 9 of their top 10 players, but a few of them will need to contribute. I also think everyone of them has a chance to contribute next year, but not all will. Redshirting decisions will be very interesting for the coaches next year.

Bobcats add a JC walk-on

louff2

I have heard that Montana State’s head coach Brad Huse has received a commitment from  Bryan Louff of Marshalltown CC in Iowa.  Bryan is a 6-1 point guard who will have three years of eligibility with the Bobcats.  Bryan graduated from Santa Monica high school in California. He redshirted at Marshalltown CC during the 2007-08 season and played 2008 -9 for Marshalltown.  He was recruited to Marshalltown CC by current Bobcat assistant coach Temesghen Starr, and Starr played a role in him walk-in on with the Cats

Bobcats recruiting Bryan Louff

louff

The Bobcats are recruiting Marshalltown CC point guard Bryan Louff. Louff is a 5-11 freshman point guard who originally graduated in 2007 from Santa Monica high school in California. He redshirted at Marshalltown CC last year so he would have 3 years of eligibility left if he chose to sign this year. He also has the option of returning and playing an additional year at Marshalltown. This year Louff played behind Region XI league MVP and JC all American DeMarcus Phillips, and averaged 6 points and 2 assists a game while shooting 48% from beyond the 3 point line. In high school Louff was had a 70 Rating by ESPN.com.

Espn they had the following to say about Louff
