Greg Hicks of Scout.com is reporting that the Bobcats men’s basketball team is recruiting Spencer Dinwiddie of Taft high school in Woodland Hills California. Dinwiddie is a 6-2 160 pound point guard. Taft is a southern California power and typically puts multiple players in D-1 programs every year.
Last year coming off of Taft’s bench he averaged 4 points, 2 rebounds 2 assists while shooting 67% from 2 point, and 30 % from beyond the three point arc. Despite this, he is one of the hottest names among the west coast point guards after a very productive summer.
Here are a couple quotes / evals from Greg Hicks of Scout.com.
Spencer Dinwiddie, 6-2 PG Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft. He had a turnover last night – I think it was the first one in a week. Nearly flawless decision-maker….
……Easily the best point guard at the West Coast All-Star Camp, and one of the two best prospects overall, Dinwiddie is coming fast as a prospect. He has an outstanding feel for the game, with terrific vision and passing ability. He’s just starting to fill out physically and his game will go to a whole different level when he adds weight/strength.
