Odds and Ends: 9-29-09

mslacatlogo

It has been a rather busy September for me so sorry for lack of attention on my blog but it is likely to come in spurts for the next month or so. It has also been kind of slow also. Anyway let’s go into Odds and Ends.

  • Grizzly basketball recruit Thomas Frye has named his favorite as Texas Christian University, but I do not believe TCU has offered him yet. His next four are UC Riverside, Eastern Washington, Montana, and Portland State. I am not sure exactly sure what the order of these next four are but I hear Montana is at or near the top of these four. I believe Tinkle has offered Frye.
  • The Bobcat football team are apparently still recruiting K.J. Cusack a 5-9 wide receiver/ / running back / defensive back / athlete from Santa Maria California. He recently reported at Rivals.com that he holds offers from UC Davis, Portland State and Air Force, but Fresno State, San Jose State, Montana State, and Sacramento State are very involved and are expected to offer soon. He is also starting to get interest from Miami of Ohio, Tulane, Washington State, Oregon State and Cincinnati

Odds and Ends – 7/28/09

troy huff

I have some miscellaneous pieces of info that I thought I would share again. Before I begin though I need to point out something that I do not think is clear as I thought it was, I tend to try to link these “Odds and ends” post to either the source material when I can or to previous posts in my Blogs. The links are not that obvious I guess but look for the underlined words. The neither font nor color is all that different from non linked text. I hope that helps.

  • Troy Huff of Brookfield Academy in Wisconsin, who was offered by the Griz coaching staff when he attended the Griz basketball camp in early July, has received his second and third scholarship offers from North Dakota and North Dakota State the past week. Huff is a 6-4 combo guard who has been having a great July playing for the Playground Elite AAU team.

Griz recruit: Troy Huff

troy huffOne of the kids that were at the Griz had at their July camp was 6-4 Troy Huff of Brookfield Academy in Wisconsin. The picture here is about a year and a half old and from what I saw he appears to have matured a little, but if he was not 6-4 I would bet he could still get into a movie theater for kids prices. From what I can tell physically Huff is a late bloomer. As a freshman he was listed at 5-9 as a sophomore 6-2, and for his junior year he was listed at 6-4, and that seems to where he is at now so he may now start filling out.
