Fall Recruiting Home Stretch – Montana State Men

With the Basketball Fall signing period about one month away, schools are on the home stretch of completing their fall signing classes. I am going to look at where the four schools currently stand with commitments, what I think they have left to get signed and who some of the prospects are they maybe looking at. Part 1 Will be the Montana State Men’s program, Part 2 will be the Montana States Women’s program, Part 3 will be the University of Montana Men’s Program and the Part 4 will be the Lady Griz program.

Projected Scholarships Available: 3

Known commitments: 2
The following players have already committed to the Bobcat Men’s program

Pos Name Ht School City ESPN Rating
PF/ C Danny Little 6-8 Skyview Billings MT NA
SG Jamie Stewart 6-4 Henry Ford JC Detroit Michigan NA

Commits Comments:
With Stewart the Bobcats got the instant impact scorer they were looking for. Little is more of a long term project but the coaches serious about recruiting Montana.

Recruiting Notes:
The Bobcats should have at least one more scholarship to offer, and I am bet the farm they are going to use it on a guard or wing, and most likely one that can score the ball. From everything I am hearing they seem to be on the trail of a handful of highly ranked high school guards who they have been recruiting for over a year. Again all of these guards can score the ball. I also would not be surprised to see the coaches go after another JC or Prep-School guard, but only if they feel is an impact player.

Possible Targets:

Pos Name Ht School City ESPN Rating
CG Davion Pearson 6-0 AZ. Coll Prep HS Scottsdale NA
SG Bruce English 6-1 LutheranHS La Verne 84
SG Askia Booker 6-1 Price HS Los Angelis 91
SF Stephen Maxwell 6-5 Taft HS Los Angelis NA
