I have heard that the Grizzly football staff is recruiting Odin Coe of Camas high school in Camas Washington. Coe is a 6-3 260 pound defensive Tackle prospect who also saw some time on the offensive line for Camas high school.
This past season he was named First Team Defensive Tackle Colombian League, as first team regional, and First team all coaches poll all star team.
Coe is also a competitive weight lifter on the national level. He is certified nationally not only as a competitor but as a coach as well.
Over the past year he has put on about 20 pound of muscle, an inch in height and has dramatically improved speed as well. Currently he runs a 4.9 in the 40 yard dash, 4.65 in the shuttle, as well as 31 inch vertical. In the weight room he has a 235 maximum bench and 435 maximum squat.
Dr. Raymond (Dr of football?) of Prepreporter.com had the following observations on Coe last November
Camas’ DL Odin Coe, what a body on a Junior, very quick first-step and this kid is a whopping 240lbs but none of it looks like fat. Word from the home-team fans is that he’s a powerlifting hoss as well. This kid is very impressive and with his type of footwork, he’s sure to be a great addition to the 2011 WA State prospect class.
With a 3.5 GPA Coe is getting a lot of attention from a lot of schools. Currently I hear Boise State, Brown, Columbia, Eastern Washington, Harvard, Idaho, Oregon, Oregon State, Portland State, Princeton, Washington, Washington State as well as Montana are showing and interest currently.
