Bobcat recruit: Jordan Didier

Arizonapreps.com (part of the Rivals.com network) is reporting the Montana State basketball program has offered Jordan Didier of St Mary’s high school in Phoenix Arizona. Didier is a 6-8 (although I have seen him listed also at 6-9) combo forward who played for St Mary’s his sophomore year, moved with his family to Indiana for his junior year but back to Arizona for his senior year. While the Bobcats and other programs have offered him he is seriously considering attending a prep school for a fifth year of high school.

St Mary’s is one of the better high school teams in Arizona and also features George Matthews who is a first team all State 5A team. Didier averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds a game for St Mary’s and was named to the Class 5A High School Basketball Teams honorable mention. Here are some evaluations.

ESPN Rating of 84

August, 2009: Didier is one of the more intriguing power forwards in the west. He has a slender frame that will need to get considerably stronger to bang in the paint area, but he is quite skilled. He has a solid finesse game where he can step out and nail the 3 point short.

– Didier was a major reason for the Magic’s success this summer. While he does not score a ton of points, he does a great job on the glass and is a good low post defender that is also capable of defending wings on the perimeter. Also a very good shooter with some range on his shot, Didier is effective as a scorer from the wing and on the low block. He to shall only continue to improve with added physical strength and weight over

Didier has received recruiting interest from Fresno State, Wyoming, Davidson, Eastern Washington, Texas-San Antonio, Hofstra as well as Montana State. He is a very slender kid and has been told that with a little more physical development he could be a high major prospect and this is why he is considered going the prep route. His best friend and teammate George Matthews is set to attend Westwind Prep Academy for his 5th year of prep school and that is a possible destination for him, if he decides to go the prep school route.

Ahhh I am not sure what you are talking about, unless you are referring to what I wrote on my twitter account. In any case I find it sad today that when people come across differing views from their own the have to resort to name calling instead discussing the issues like intelligent people. Name calling is so much easier it takes less brain power.
