Strength: Deep, balanced, talent starting line up, ability to win on the road.
Weakness: Individual player consistency, ability to put teams away.

Surprise of the non-conference:
I was hearing prior to the season from multiple sources that Bobcat JC recruit Beata Bak was struggling to learn Binford’s system. A lot of this had to do with language barrier since Bak hales from Germany. While she showed good promised many wondered whether it would take a year in the system for her to fit in. Since being inserted into the starting line up for the injured starting center Jamie Thornton Bak has been one of the Bobcats most consistent players. She has consistently scored in double digits and pulling down close to 8 rebounds a game. She has provided the cats with a solid fourth scoring option and a physical inside presence.

Biggest question the Bobcats need to answer:
The Bobcats need to prove that they belong to be considered among the top teams in the league. This team at time has not been playing up to their potential. Super Sophomore Katie Bussey has been very inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball she will need even out the high and lows. Perry simply has not been playing up to her potential as of late, and while Sarah Strand has been playing solid she could also play with a little more consistency. Beata Bak, though, has been a nice consistent addition to the starting line up. A solid defensive team, the Bobcats need to start playing with more maturity on offense.

Thoughts on the non-conference:
It does not seem to bother the Bobcats whether they are playing on the road or in Bozeman. Unlike last years version of this Bobcat team they seem to be very comfortable playing on the road. This will serve the Bobcats well in conference.

Thoughts on the Conference
I think Montana State and Portland State are the two most talented teams in the conference, and as I have always said talent seems to rise to the surface in conference. The league seems to be rather middling right now with no one team clearly on top. If the Montana State big three of Bussey, Perry, and Strand can pull it together on the offensive side the conference title is theirs for the taking.
