Commitments Page

I have created a new tab called “Commitments” that you will find on top of the page right below the Blog title and right next to the recruiting lists. The “Commitments” link will take you to a new page that features a list of all commitments / signings for all nine 18 Big Sky programs – Men’s as well as Women’s. I am pretty sure the Montana State and Montana are as current. The other schools, I believe, are complete, but I can not guarantee that I am not missing an athlete or two.

For the Montana State Men’s and Women’s programs as well as the Montana Men’s and lady Griz programs I have created individual pages for each Signee/Commit that can be accessed by clicking on that players name on the “Commitments Page”. The individual player pages each will feature a photo(s), player / high school team info, as well as schedule and current stats (as they are available) for the coming season. I am still playing with the format of the individual pages but I hope to also include newspaper articles and/or video as may become available.

Of the 15 player who have signed with the four Montana basketball programs only player has started their high school basketball season so far. That player is Montana State Women’s program signee Ausha Cole from Gilbert high school. You might click on her page to get an idea on what I hope to do.

A few last comments about this new feature:

  • I have some decent photos of some of the player, but some pretty shabby or none at all of other. I hope to as the season gets underway I can get improve on some of these pictures.
  • Not all of scheduled I have posted may be 100% complete at this point. I have done my best try to dig up the schedules for all 15 players, but I will try to update them as get more info. If you notice an error please drop me a line.
  • The two Australian players, Kate Webb, and Emily Allen, signed by Montana State’s Tricia Binford are going to have to be different format than the other 13 players. The Australian high school system and basketball programs are just too different to fit into the same template as the US athletes.
  • Most of the player’s seasons will get under way this coming week-end but some do not start until as late as December 15th
