I have heard that Bobby Hauck’s Montana Grizzly football team is recruiting Trent Gallegos of Salem West high school in Oregon. Gallegos is a 6-5 310 pound lineman prospect who plays on both side of the line, but really wants to Offensive guard in college. Rivals.com interviewed Gallegos recently and asked about what he liked about the offensive line.
“There is no where else on this field I would rather be. The battle in here is what me and the guys here on the team live for. In fact I can’t wait to get to the playoffs. I want to be tested by the best and that hasn’t happened yet this year. Whoever has the best Defensive line is who I am anxious to play,” said Trent.
Gallegos was one of the top 285+ pound wrestlers in the state of Washington last year making it to the state tourney last year and should be ranked in the top 3 at that weight class this year.
Stat wise he runs a 5.1 forty, maximum bench press of 320 pounds, maximum squat of 485 pounds and a vertical of 26 inches.
Gallegos is currently being recruited by Eastern Washington, Georgia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon State, and Portland State, but none have offered him as of yet, but it appears Eastern Washington is the closest to do so.
