I have heard that Bobby Haucks Montana Grizzlies are recruiting Mack Tracey of Wheaton South high school in Wheaton Illinois. Tracey is a 6-2 190 pound wide receiver prospect, but up until this past year was primarily considered a quarterback prospect.
Tracey played a great deal at quarterback during the 2008 season for Wheaton South and played some at that spot as the season started but as the season went on he played more and more at the wide receiver spot. For his efforts he was recently named 2009 All-DuPage Valley Conference first team Offence “Tight End Offensive All Purpose Receiver” (to be honest I have never heard of that spot before but that is what he won). He also took up punting duties this year and managed to rattle off a couple 60 plus punts for Wheaton South high school.
I am sorry but I was unable to find his official stats for this year.
His recruitment has been quite interesting also, while most of the time coaches have to recruit player Tracey actively recruited Montana. While Cornell, Illinois State, and Southern Illinois, are actively recruiting Tracey he recently sent tape to the Griz coaches hoping to catch their eye, and it seemed to have worked because Bobby Hauck’s crew has jumped into his recruiting with both feet. Currently Colgate is considered to be the leader for Tracey’s services, with an offer and an official visit scheduled in December.
