The Weeks Calendar: 11-16-09

This weeks Calendar of games is a little lighter than last weeks colander with the two Grizzly programs only having a single game on each schools schedule, for a total of 6 games among the four programs. Over all though those programs that were on the road are coming home and those who were at home hit the road.

This weeks Calendar

Tuesday – November 17th

Bobcat men host Colorado Christian Home
This game comes at the right time to play a d-2 school. With the MSU roster depleted for this game and the next the Cats get a break. Hopefully CCH will cooperate.

Thursday – November 19th

Grizzly Men at U. of Denver
Since moving up to D-1 Denver has been picking up some very nice athletes. This should be a real nice road teat early in the season for the Griz.

Friday – November 20th

Bobcat Women host Brigham Young
Opportunity! Binford’s team hosts a very nice team Mountain West power in BYU. It is tough for a Big Sky team to get a home game with a club like BYU. The Cat women have the chance test their metal this Friday and possibly come away with a win.

Saturday – November 21st

Bobcat Men host Southern Mississippi
Tough game for the depleted Bobcats. SMU will push the ball, so depth and conditioning will be a big factor. The Bobcats do not have a lot of the first so hopefully the latter will be enough without their starting front court.

Sunday – November 22nd

Bobcat Women at Idaho
Another very good building block team on the schedule that will help the Bobcat’s gets ready for conference. The Cats will need to have a good showing to prove they belong in the top rung of the Big Sky conference. There are also recruiting implications as Idaho and MSU recruit against each other.

Lady Griz host Oregon

Things do not get a lot easier of the Lady Griz as they host Pac-10’s Oregon. Oregon knows how tough it is to get win in Missoula and might be looking at this to be their best opportunity in a long while. Selvig will have a lot of time to prepare for OSU which is always dangerous and hopefully Ena will be back.
