NFL Scouts are in the house

w-g stadium

Charlie Bernstein of BattleRedNation.com (part of the Scout.com network) had an interesting article yesterday about a scouts for the Houston Texans will be in attendance today at Washington-Grizzly stadium to take in the Montana – Portland State game today. The main player they are coming to watch is Portland State sophomore corner back DeShawn Shead. While he is not expected to leave school early after the season the scouts are still interested to see him play against Montana..

There also want to check out Portland State full back Bobby McClintock, but he seems to be a late round prospect at best.

For Montana it appears that the Houston Texans are interested in scouting are tight ends Dan Beaudin (6’5″, 252 lbs.) and Steven Pfahler (6’5″, 246 lbs.), wide receiver Marc Mariani (6’0″, 185 lbs.), free safety Shann Schillinger (6’1″, 199 lbs.) and quarterback Justin Roper (6’6″, 215 lbs.) (junior).

Good luck to these players today.

houston-based reggie cobb, a former tennessee vol and tampa bay buc running back, now scouting for the 49ers, was there to see a lot of davis kids but also several montana players. had never been to wash-griz but was trying to get up there for a game. said montana players were known to be well-coached and tough. great guy, reggie, and he obviously knew bobby hauck.
