Normally when I put together one of these football recruiting bits, a lot of times I have a difficult time trying to find a decent picture of a recruit to include in my post. Usually quarter backs and running backs I have no problem with, but defensive players and O-linemen are particularly difficult. That is the case with Dillon Markau. I found a couple nice pictures of him from behind but no frontal or action pictures that I could post. I did though find this great video though that also discusses one of Dillon’s most prominent features when he is on the field.
The Bobcat coaches are recruiting Dillon pretty hard at the middle line backer position. Dillon is a 6-1 225 pound line backer who compiled 47 tackles, 56 assist and 4 sacks last season for Casa Roble Fundamental high school in northern California. Casa Roble went 13-0 this season and won the State of California D-III title. For his efforts Markau was named first team all Capital Athletic League.
Markau is currently receiving recruiting interest Montana State, Cal Poly, Northern Colorado, Sacramento State, Washington State, and Fresno State. From what I hear though Montana State is a strong leader for his services, although I do not know if he has been offered.
There are some great pictures of Markau over on the maxprep.com site for those interested but I can not copy them to mine.
