Bobcat FB recruit: Tyler Wright

I have learned that the Bobcat football program is recruiting Kentlake Washington’s Tyler Wright,  Wright is a 5-11, 175 pound athlete, projected to play defensive back in college, but will most likely play a great deal on special teams early in his career.

At Kentlake he played he played wide receiver on offence, pulling in over 300 yard yards in reception yardage last year. For that he was named 2nd team All-SPSL North.

He was also a place kicker and kick return man for Kentlake. For these positions he was named 1st team All-SPSL North as a kicker and return man. He was also named first team place kicker as a sophomore and second team as freshman.

Last month at the Barton Football / Next Step College combine, which featured athletes primarily from Washington and Oregon he was named co- outstanding defensive end prospect.

Wright is also an all-state soccer player for Kentlake and played basketball with 2009 Bobcat basketball recruit Jeff Budinich, averaging 7 points a game.

He is rated as a single star prospect at scout.com.

I am told he has an offer from Montana State as well as most of the local d-2 schools while Boise State, Washington, and Washington State are showing a lot of interest lately.
