Montana / Wyoming All Star Game – Box Scores Round 2

Mon-wyoHere are the Box scores for the second round of games in the Montana Wyoming All Star Basketball series. These games were played Saturday in Billings. Both games were more tightly contested that the previous games played in Sheridan Wyoming, with the Montana boys losing an over time game, and the Montana girls needing a 34 point effort from Jos Tinkle to pull out a 7 point victory over Wyoming. It is amazing in this series how little the home court seems matter. It seems the “visiting team” always seems to play better than the home team.

Here is the write up on the Girls game and the Boys game from the Billings Gazette. Like wise I also have the write up from the Wyoming Tribune.

Ashley Albert played very well in my opinion and will be a nice addition to the Cats. Banis and Semansky did alright, but I think will need a year to get used to D1 college ball. Wyoming boys were very physical and set the tempo the second night to get the win. I agree that there were no real standout players on MT. Colt Idol was playing out of position most of the time due to Montana’s lack of height and struggled with that a little.
