2010 Montana Girls getting some D-1 interest P2

basketball2-main_full

This is the final post of two posts looking at the D-1 girls prospects in the class of 2010.

While Carly Selvig, Jordan Sullivan, and Torry Hill have gotten most of the attention in the Montana girls basketball class of 2010, there are a couple of other girls who definitely have D-1 basketball in their future. I want also to make clear, just because they are being mentioned here as the “other girls” that they do not need to take a back seat Selvig, Sullivan and Hill. These girls have talent; they just do not have the publicity

Jackie Mee is a 6’1″ forward from Libby Montana I have heard holds an offer already from Montana. I have conflicting information as to whether Montana State has offered her, but I do know that MSU was scouting her at the Class A divisional tournament in Kalispell last year. Mee averaged 19 points and eight rebounds a game for the Libby loggers last year and was named to the Class A all state team. Mee is also one of the more accomplished athletes in the state and having been named to Class A All State in volleyball, the Great Falls Tribune Montana Super State volley ball team as well as Class A All State in tennis. She could have the opportunities to play quite a few sports in college.

Nelson

Lexie Nelson is class AA all conference guard from Butte Montana who averaged 22 points, 2 assists a game last season while shooting over 50% from the field, 44 % from beyond the 3 point arc, and 82% from the charity stripe. As you might guess Nelson is a big time scorer and is projected as a shooting guard in college. Nelson was named first team Class AA all state as well as being named to the Great falls tribune Super State basketball team. I understand she hold offers from both Montana and Montana State as well as receiving a great deal of interest from other D-1 programs.

Nelson and Mee along with Selvig, Hill and Sullivan are the girls that are a lock to sign D-1 letters of intents before next season ends but there are a few other girls who are at least getting some looks.

Keliee Glaus a 5-9 guard from Whitehall has gotten some looks and is listed on ESPN/Gulzhoops.com database. Gluas averaged 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists a game last season, and is a pretty good athlete.

pfau

Jordan Pfau from Loyola (by way of Arlee) is a 5-9 guard who also has been mentioned as possibly getting some looks. She is a heck of an athlete and is also getting looks for Volleyball and track. She averaged around 13 points, 5 assists and 8 rebounds a game, but it also been know to rack up double digits in steal and blocks in any given game. Jodan Pfau→

McKenzie Scofield is a 5-8 guard from Livingston Montana is a 18 point a game scorer for Livingston who also has made ESPN/Hoopgulz database

Last year at this time Ashley Albert from Hamilton was really not considered a strong prospect by either the Bobcat or Griz , but by July of 2008 and two very successful camps she held offers from both school and was the center a pretty intense recruiting battle. The point is .. you never know.
