Site update

mslacat1I thought I might update the regulars, both of you, on some things that are happening on by Blog

Video: WordPress, the folks who host Mslacat’s Blog, have decided to charge now for an upgrade that allows me to insert video onto my site. The upgrade is relatively cheap, but fairly irritating so I will most likely have video in the future, but when they implemented the change, it wiped out all previous video on my site, and actually for some reason a picture hear and there.

Football: June and July are big months for the offering of high school football players. Much like I did yesterday I will post brief blurbs on any football players that I hear. They will not be nearly as complete or researched as basketball, I have a hard enough time sounding like I know what I am talking about with basketball, let along telling you I have any idea what makes a good offensive guard or not.

Recruiting lists: I have posted a handful of recruiting list on my blog site. They include MSU and UM basketball and football as well as lists for the other 7 Big Sky conference teams. As always they should be taken with a grain of salt. The completeness of them is directly proportional to my personal interest and how easy it is to get the information. As such Montana State basketball is at one end of the spectrum and the other Big Sky conference basketball teams the other. The Other Big Sky Conference football teams are not even on the list.

Women’s Basketball recruiting lists: I really really would like to post more info on women’s’ basketball and a recruiting list but the info available is dubious if it exists at all. As an example, on the ESPN recruiting site they list Butte’s Briana McClafferty as one of the best players in Montana for 2009 and the #27 wing in the nation. This is all great, but for the fact McClaffert graduated some two years ago and I am not sure she is even playing basketball any more.donot ask

Finally: I did not watch American Idol last night. I have no idea, as I type this, who won, nor do I really care. I am sure sometime and some place today I will see who won and go …… who? The only episode – are they called episodes? – I have watched was the infamous William Hung episode, and I only watched that one because I was with my mother – a big fan- in the hospital as she recovered from heart surgery. So to all of my friends, I am implementing a “Don’t ask and I won’t tell” you what I think of American Idol.
