I have heard that the Griz coaching staff is recruiting Dau Jok from Des Moines Roosevelt high school in Iowa. Jok is a 6-3 shooting guard who is know as a 3 point shooter who has almost unlimited range, and as one reporter put it, has never met a 3 point shot that he didn’t like.
Jok averaged 14 points, 2 assist, and 2 steals a game and was named first team CMIL Metro All Conference. Roosevelt placed 2 players on the first team, and another as an honorable mentioned team, as Roosevelt high school was named the surprise team of the year.
Jok has been having a great spring AAU season, and has been proven to be a very potent scorer for the All Iowa Attack, but his biggest area of needed improvement is on the defensive side of the ball.
Jok will be in Missoula this week to attend the Grizzly Elite player camp.
I hear that currently Army, Missouri State, ISU, North Dakota, Montana, Fairfield, Western Kentucky, Dartmouth, and Princeton are recruiting him as well as some D-2 schools. He does not hold any offers yet but that should change once the July evaluation starts
